About Rheina

Rheina, native Californian, her first love and passion began with the sport of soccer. She enjoyed the power of the sport and intense competition for 25 years. Due to knee injuries, her soccer career had come to an end as a player. Although, assistant coaching her daughter's young soccer team helped her stay connected to her passion.

By a stroke of luck, a new passion has begun. With no formal dance experience of any kind, but a love of dancing, Rheina enrolled in Celena's Beginner Belly Dance Class in Fremont in January 2007. Being literally "moved" by the music and interest in the dance, she she admired the movements and the Art of Belly Dance, thus decided to continue her sessions to learn more. Since this time Rheina is now a part of the Intermediate Class in Fremont and has been performing with Troupe Celen since May 2007. Performances include: The Bean Scene-Sunnyvale CA, Milpitas Art & Wine Festival, Carnival of Stars, Desert Dance Festival and Rakkasah West 2008

Rheina has also taken Rythm Essence and Cymbal Workshop from Mary Ellen Donald. Rheina is interested in continuing to broaden her range and knowledge of the beautiful art of Belly Dance!
